Please use this area to post where you live and if you have seen or not seen bees this year. I want to try and compile a list of areas where the bee populations are diminishing for research purposes. This way we can try to define the differences in areas, temps, etc etc to find the cause of the die offs.

We have a honey bee nest in a tulip poplar tree in the front yard. I have seen them there for the past 3 years in the spring thru fall. We are in the St Louis metro east area.

I saw a honeybee today. It was in my crocus which is the only flower blooming in my yard right now. I have a picture of it in my pics in my profile. Sorry it is so blurry. I didn’t want to get too close. I am in the St. Louis area.
* Last year we had lots of bees until August when it was so hot and dry. Very few flowers in my area were still blooming. Some of the bees did come back toward the end of September when the heat relented and more flowers started blooming again.
