Aloha Joe Radio is the #1 Hawaiian entertainment station in the world that has been on the internet since 1994. Hosted by Aloha Joe, one of the most well-known and respected Hawaiian radio personalities, callers can request their favorite Hawaiian songs and listen to them via the internet at www.alohajoe.com. The show's playlist is literally a "who's who" of Hawaiian artists past and present.

This past week, we were honored to have our original song, Island Dreamin', featured on Aloha Joe Radio. In addition to having the song played, the band was interviewed live via phone a few days later. This all came about due to the enthusiasm of TWR fans that kept requesting our songs, and we have to give much mahalo to three very special "TurtleNecks" - Patti, Gladys and Kathy!

Being away from Hawaii has been tough in many ways, and we all have our reasons for leaving Hawaii and living in the mainland, but we use music to keep our connection. By blending Hawaiian style music and instruments (ukulele, slack key guitar, lap-steel guitar) with popular beach, calypso and country music, we have found a way to not only stay connected to our island roots, but we have also found a way to also bring our new friends (from all over the world) with us. For a time, we thought we might have strayed too far off the "island" path with our blended music style, but the fact that Hawaiian music fans were able to hear our island roots and aloha in our music (and request our music on one of the most respected Hawaiian music shows in the world) has really touched us and inspired us to do more. Mahalo nui loa for all your support.

By the way, here is the song list from the Aloha Joe Radio show this past week as listed on www.alohajoe.com - awesome!
