What do you fans think of Don replacing Terrence? I personally think it’s a huge mistake. Will you skip the second movie if Howard isn’t in it?

nah, I’m too big into Iron Man to not go see it. that would be like not going to see the next Batman movie if they recast Alfred or Commissioner Gordon. As much as I like the casting in both movies, I’m not going to flip out over a recast. That’s just Hollywood for ya.

i actually just might forgo seeing the movie and just watch it online for free instead....john favreau is a freaking douchbag for switching terrence for don chi-chi-cheedle pet! i can’t believe you would do that. if you wanted to go low grade movie with high grade FX, then why not go for omar epps or wesley snipes instead. seriously? what kind of morons are they are marvel pro..ions right now? they’re not going to equal what wb and dc comics have done with the dark knight, ESPECIALLY not with cheedle playing rhodey! this movie just lost at least 3 stars out of ten from me and it hasn’t even begun filming....

If they read my post, i hope they listen when i say that War Machine should be play by someone like Michael Jai White that also played Spawn and was just in Dark Knight, LOL
He would fit perfectly in the Iron Man sequel, not to butt Don Cheadle, but he doesn’t fit that role, i hope they have a change of heart over it, cause it may just make or break the sequel.....

To be honest, I think it was the most dumbfounded thing to do by replacing Terrence. Basically ruined Iron Man 2 for me.

The Jim Rhodes of the comic books was more hardcore than either one of these two actors can portray. I will say that going from Howard to Cheadle is going the wrong direction, regardless.

Cmon folks, can everyone stop criticizing the decision already. I respect Howard very much and I think he’s a terrific actor, but I think he wasn’t quite right for the role to begin with. If you really play attention to his performance in Iron man...his character just wasn’t quite in-sync. Perhaps this wasn’t as much his fault as the limited material that was given him to work with too. His character just wasn’t written as colorful as Robert Downey’s or Jeff Bridges. It’s kinda like the scene at the beginning when they were about to mount Humvee motorcade in Afghanistan and Rhodes insists that Tony ride with him, Tony’s rejects him with the line "This is the FUN-VEE". The Rhody in the movie was very bland and wimpy, especially for a military man. Again, I wouldn’t really blame him for that. I just think he didn’t quite fit the role...or the role wasn’t fit for him

I think Don has the potential to bring more ’authority’ to the character. If you watch many of Don’s movies (especially CRASH, SWORDFISH, TRAFFIC), you just can’t deny his commanding presence. And think that’s especially needed for his Rhodes to become War Machine! Well, there’s my 2 cent ;)

I will agree Terrance Howard’s performance was a bit low key but I think that was the point. There was suppose to be a contrast between Rhodes and Stark. However I still get excited when I see the scene when he looks at the suit and says "next time baby". Unless Don Cheadle does a great memorable performance I’m going to wonder what it would have been like with Terrance.

Don Cheadle he is a greater actor then Howard and i think he can bring more to the table i am going to miss Howard but time to move on

I really thought that Terrence Howard was the perfect "War Machine"!!!
And....that thought can be expanded on in the next installment.

They (T.H. & R. D.) had chemistry on screen......

Not sure if I want to see the next "Ironman" movie.
I had no doubts when I went to see this one.......several times!!!

BOTTOM LINE:
IF ITS NOT BROKE.......WHY TRY TO FIX IT???
