Does anyone have a copy? I used to own it,.. from a purchase on eBay bought from England. I bought it from a professor of a university over there who used it in his study class of this great film/book. But it was in,.. uhm,.. whatever video format they use over there and I never got to transfer it to VHS and view before I tragically lost it.

I didn't get a chance to see it, .. but it contained all of the deleted scenes posted on our site here plus a nude 'lovemaking' scene that was suppose to be her but wasn't Dominique's body (a stand-in of legal age, of course), ..

It was deemed to steamy and controversial for the American release.

No, .. much much more, ..

Plus the scenes that are in this group. But mainly the love making scenes. Much more was shown.

The version in Europe is PAL. I think that not only is America not ready for it, but being on the razor’s edge is much better for this film, only because it lives on the "essence" and unseen...the dynamic "forbidden" chemistry is the great power that Jeremy and Dominque wield. The twinkling of the eyes...the touch of an elbow or a toe...The tension. It works in exactly the opposite way that Brando’s emotional speech as an upheaval of perverted and desperate questions, as proof of love. It was needed in LTIP to bring Brando’s mental state to a completeness. The nude scene, for me, would have strayed from the focal point and into gratiuity, taking something away from the pathos, and tension, and other ineffable things.

No, . the PAL version was never released on DVD, . it was only aqcuired by professors or students of the film. Never released to the public. Sorry it took so long for me to reply. MySpace never notified me as to the updates in this group, . making me believe that it was dead, .

I’d really like to know what university or college offers that class. I would take it and ace it.
