...to see a Swan Song group here on MySpace. I read this book every few years or so and I love it more and more each time I read it. =]
Who first turned you on to Swan Song?
My mom gave me this book when I turned 16. I finished it in three days, I couldn't get enough of it! =D

My Grandmother actually bought me a grocery bag full of books at a church yard sale-type thing. "Swan Song" was in there, and it immediately grabbed my attention. I must have been 13 or 14. I read it, and that's how my love affair with McCammon's writing began.

Good question!
My sister was given the book Swan Song by a friend...
I think she was put off by the cover art, as it sat on a shelf for a while collecting dust. It looked right up my street so I borrowed it one day... and have never gave it back!!!
Impossible to put down once you start it!
Have you read any other of Mr McCammon's work...?

Actually, I've just started "Speaks the Nightbird" and I like it so far (crosses fingers). =] My Mom's been trying to get me to read "A Boy's Life" and one of my professors is going to loan me "Goin' South" since we had a lengthy discussion about "Swan Song". haha =D So I am in the process. =]
Never gave it back, huh? I don't blame you!

Cool - Speaks The Nightbird is a good two book read! I read in on vacation in Florida last year. I had to wait to get volume two when I got to the US, as it wasn't available in the UK at the time!
You should read a Boy's Life if you get a chance. Gone South is good aswell!
No - never loan or give away your copy of Swan Song... you'll never get it back!!!
John :)

My Brother gave me a copy of Swan Song years ago and since I liked it so much I recomended and lent it to someone and never got it back (as someone here already warned against doing), I read it again a couple of years ago and lost it again-with my luggage.Anyway it"s a great read and next time I see it I'll buy it again.Do any of you guys remember a McCammon book about a WWII spy who also just happens to be a werewolf, can"t remember the title.

Yes. It's called Wolf's Hour. I have read it so much that I have gone through 3 copies already.

Good luck. Try local used bookstores. That is where I usually find any of RRM's older books.

Wow, cool group. I just started reading Swan Song maybe two weeks ago. A cow worker of mine is a fanatic book reader. She said that Swan Song has been her favorite book for years, and she NEVER re-reads any books so she gave me her copy of it. It's a very yellowed, torn, old copy but I've loved the book since the first page. I don't have that much time to read, so I'm maybe 1/5 of the way through it, I can't stop thinking about it when I'm not reading it.
Woohoo! :D

Hi there
Just thought I'd chip in again...
If your looking for some of Mr MaCammon's other books, have a look on the Amazon Marketplace secondhand book stores.
I've recently ordered Wolfs Hour, Stinger and Baal and they have all arrived in really good condition, especially when you take into account some were printed a while ago!!!
Can't wait to read the earlier books I've not read before!!
Don't forget... he's got a new one coming out soon too!!

Well actually I got the book originally in a box full of books from someone (I’ve got family and friends that give me books all the time.) But it sat unread for a few years, then I started to correspond online in several book related forums and found many reccommendations for the book and went hunting through my collection and the rest is history. Long Live Swan Song !!
