It’s a pity, but so many in contemporary Celtic circles seem to think that the only legitimate expression of Celtic spirituality is paganism.
To be sure, the way the Christian churches have been run in many cases would be enough to drive away almost anyone. But look at the history! There is a reason that the druids embraced the Gospel message so readily. There is a reason that Ireland was converted without any martyr’s blood being spilt.
The Truth of Christianity fits neatly with the Celtic worldview. Some traditions in some Christian circles might not fit, but that doesn’t mean Christ isn’t relevant.
Let’s explore these ideas.
The Druids where the priesthood of the Celtic Religion, not all Celts where druids.
Also the Driuds did not convert from Druidism to Christianity, the fact is the native religion of Druidism was supressed.
As to those how see paganism as the legitimate expression of Celtic spirituality is paganism.it is because they are seeking to revive Pre-Christian Celtic Religion.
