Hello, beautifuls!

First off, for any you who'd like something to do for a couple evenings, the LGBTA is hosting the first annual Out for Reel film festival here at CSUN.

Also, we're still accepting submissions for the film festival. Aside from there being cash prizes available, it's also an excellent chance to get your work out there. We are in LA, people!... so it could even potentially be a good springboard into something else. At the very least you get bragging rights. ("Hey my film was so good it was shown at a film festival at a university with over 30,000 students!")

You don't have to be attending CSUN or be in the LGBTA to enter. Actually, you don't even have to be in the same state or country... if you were a Martian whose film met the submission guidelines we'd still accept you're work... we're just nice non-discriminating people who think raising awareness about/amongst the LGBTQQA people is important. We just like popcorn and thought that film would be a fun and entertaining approach. To get it to us, you can mail it or if it's in digital format you can put into a compressed format and sent it to us via email. But if you're a Martian without email who doesn't plan to be visiting earth for an abduction soon (sorry... didn't mean to stereotype), you might be out of luck.

Last, I bet you're wondering what can you do to help the cause. Perhaps you aren't the "creative type" (...yeah, right...get some self esteem, babe). Maybe you aren't finished and ready to submit your masterpiece this year. Maybe film just isn't your medium. Maybe your 500 miles away and think this has nothing to do with you but love your community and want to help me out with this because this senetance is guilt tripping you. GOOD NEWS! YOU CAN STILL HELP!

All you need to do is repost this. To do so, hit reply to sender. Rather than sending this back, copy the entire page of text and paste it into a new bulletin. Then simply hit "Submit" and VOILA! You have done your good deed for the day and have simultaneously made a fairy very happy.
