Wow, I'm the first one here!
I think this forum will be a fun place for readers to find lots more books for their TBR files. Thanks for setting it up, Skhye. (Yes!!! My fingers are doing better.)
I'm Jacquie Rogers and I write nearly all historical periods--okay, contemporary and futuristic, too. Most of my stories are paranormal, although I have four completed western romances under the bed. I love them but they'll have to stay there for a while.
My first news is that Children's Tumor Foundation has agreed to endorse my May release, Faery Special Romances. My daughter and granddaughter both have neurofibromatosis so this is a cause close to my heart.
Then, a couple days ago, I found out that one of my short stories, and also another anthology I'm in, finaled in the PNR P.E.A.R.L Awards. We'll find out who wins on Feb. 19. The competition all are authors of books I really love, so I have to say that this is a little weird to be in their company. I keep thinking PNR miscounted but I'm darned sure not going to bring up the subject. LOL.

Hi, All! Welcome to The Romance Cafe! I'm excited to be a part of this.
I'm Anna Kathryn. I write historicals. I have a short story "Tempt Me Twice" in Highland Press's anthology HOLIDAY IN THE HEART, December 2006 releae.
In Victoria England, Peter wants nothing more for the Holiday than to gain Meghan’s forgiveness, but her secret could rip them apart before he can work his way back into her heart.
In other writing news - I sold my Novella, "Salvation Bride" to Highland Press for their Mail Order Bride anthology, set for release later this year. There will be four stories of finding love in late 1800's Texas through The Heart and Hand Mail Order Bride Catalog in this anthology.
Also, on Feb. 3, I received notice that my Work In Progess (WIP), SCANDAL'S DESIRE, finaled in Southern Magic's Linda Howard Award of Excellence Contest.
I have one completed novel, EMMA'S HEART, which has placed in several contests, winning the Heart of Louisiana contest in 2005. I'm shopping EMMA'S HEART around.
I also have an altar ego, M. J. Sager, who writes contemporary romance. She's published more than me, but I've got longer stories and won more contests than her. Nah, nah, nah.

Hi, all!
I'm Donna Grant. I write historical/paranormal and historical/dark fantasy novels - specifically the Medieval period.
I'm published with New Concepts Publishing and have several series out. My first, The Druid's Glen, will have the fourth book released soon. The Shields, book three - five, will be released later this year. I also have a novella series, The Royal Chronicles. The first novella was featured in NCP's 10 year anniversary anthology, Phoenix Rising II, and the second novella will be released soon as well.
In other news, the cover for Highland Mist placed second in the Judge a Book by its Cover contest. Thanks NCP for a great cover!
Look for more books, and more series, coming soon!!!
hugs,
Donna

Hi, I'm your friendly neighborhood moderator. I guess I should claim no fame to publication. However, I am trying to get there. I write a cross-genre fantasy-romance series about Celtic legend turned inside out and refashioned into time travel romance. (Whew, I've got that memorized enough to where I should be able to recite it when realizing I'm talking to an agent/editor. Why do we go blank at those moments?) If you'd like to know more, just send me a message. Trust me, I can talk about my stories. LOL
I will try to be very good and not say some geeky thing that I always seem to utter elsewhere. If I do, please tell me, and I will gladly jump into the alligator pond!

Hi everyone!
I'm Lynda K. Scott and I write science fiction/paranormal action romance. Oh, and erotic paranormal romance :D (That genre is rather new to me and I often forget about it.) Primarily I write a cross-genre science fantasy romance which is a whole lot easier to say.
My first book, Heartstone, is published by Triskelion Publishing. It was a 2000 Golden Heart finalist in RWA's Golden Heart Contest and it's garnered a couple other awards, including (I just found out a few minutes ago) a nomination in the 2006 Ecataromance Reviewers Choice Awards.
I also have another science fantasy, Altered Destiny, which should be available in March from Triskelion as well. You can see the cover in the slide show on my MySpace page.
And my erotic paranormal, Great Escapes: Rose & Clay is available from Triskelion as well. That one was co-written with Linda Wisdom. We've got another we're trying to entice the editors with set in the same location. Keep your fingers crossed for us that it gets picked up too :D
Nice to meet everyone!

Hi, all!
I'm new to the group, too--published author, about to launch my Midnight Breed vampire romance series in May and June with back-to-back releases. These aren't traditional undead vampires, but living, breathing alpha males from a hybrid alien/human race. The books are a little bit of BLADE, a little bit of PREDATOR, and (hopefully) a whole lot of sexy. :->
If you're interested in taking a look, I have info and excerpts at my website, www.LaraAdrian.com. My full site is still being developed, but it should be rolling out in a few weeks with lots of cool stuff.
Anyway, that's enough about me. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Posted: Feb 24, 2007 7:16 PM This is the tale of a boy caught up in a redneck place and time. Born the sixth child of seven, Bobby Lee Curtis, calls “Granny Boop’s Big House” home. The VFW, his Mom the local drunk, and her hateful teachings lead him to doubt everything he knows. The details and honesty here are more revealing and compelling than most. Woven intricately with family, a pink house, friends and men he called lover, this battle rages on in his adult addictions. So begins a quest for love and happiness littered with uncountable tricks and strangers, moments of love and the death of his Momma. Accepting love and happiness for the brief moments that they really are, Bobby’s decision is made. Go home. All seven kids start their own families and most break the white trash curse handed them at birth. Using stories he likes to tell, mixed with personal journal entries, this story of a lost boy who becomes a man is a passionate and painfully real look at another side of America. Watch this boy play in the dark corners as he discovers a truth he was never taught. He likes boys! “Growing up Gay White Trash and Liking it, ” makes his childhood struggles difficult but fun nonetheless.

Hi everyone,
I write romantic comedy with a light paranormal twist (try saying that in a hurry!!) and my first book is coming out with NAL in August. It's going to feel a bit weird because it's only going to be published in the US, but since I live in the UK (soon to move to New Zealand), I won't actually get to see it on the shelves. Mind, this is probably better for the general book buying public as they won't have to endure a crazy woman stalking them in the aisles!!
Nice to meet you all

Hi, I'm Marie-Nicole Ryan and I write romantic suspense bordering on the hot side. At least I do now. I started out mildly sensual and each book has gotten hotter. What can I say--the higher sensuality levels sell better. I still believe in HEA for my heros and and heroines.
I started my publication career with Wings ePress, and my first three books were published by them. Now I'm now published by Samhain Publishing. My current release is TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. It's set in my home state of Tennessee in a small fictional county. It briefly hit the top ten at My Book Store and More, Samhain's online bookstore.
I'm always looking to meet more writers and readers who love a good story. Obviously I believe I write good stories--LOL.
With five other authors, I contribute to a romantic suspense blog, called Shades of Suspense. http://romanticsuspense.com. I also have a personal blog where I tend to post more about ABC soap hunks than writing.

Hello, my name is Laura Hogg, and i write mostly historical romance. My latest novel is out with The Wild Rose Press. It is called: Romeo vs. Juliet. My female lead chases her husband through the eras (time-travel) to stop him from changing history. The funnest part was doing all the research and learning about different times in history.
