Your input means everything.

A beta-tester is somebody who uses the site with an eye towards making it better. In the Forums, there is a place for beta-testers to suggest improvements. Technical suggestions about Joomla and HTML are good, but they don't have to be that fancy either. They can be comments about the layout, wording, usability, even color! For example, is red and black evil? My hunch is that red and black is kind of edgy (like most of the members), but if it doesn't work, let me know!
