We all need peace. Tell me... What does peace mean to you?

In my opinion, peace is a state of mind rather than an entity. We look for world peace, but that will not be accomplished until everyone is content with themselves. Once contentment comes into play, everyone won't worry about wordly things...and perhaps they'd realize that we are all humans who FEEL.

I agree... I feel that the world needs to understand what peace means before we can understand and embrace the full meaning of global peace. Peace, to me, is like you said, a state of mind or being, and also a way of life - one without arguments, but with discussions; not separation, but collaboration; not divided, but united. A comprehensive strategic plan on the attainment of World Peace is needed - the work may have to begin in the United Nations.

Peace to me is a feeling like being one with yourself and not worrying or caring what others may think of you because of your actions, words, or career goals. Peace can represent a state of happiness in a sense that you have the freedom to do what's best and live your life without regrets. I believe that peace can be achieved by reaching out to others and the thought of knowing that the ones you help are traveling along the right path can give you a peace of mind. Everyone should work together for the benefit of goodness. Love is peace because knowing that you have love for others in return you can receive that very same love which gives you peace. I find my peace from deep within my heart, mind, body and spirit and to know that God is Real, gives me all the peace I'll ever need.

In your opinion, what constitutes peace? What are the elements or properties of peace? Is peace merely non-violence or does it include other elements?
