Please post here any books you've read that have furthered your understanding - or that you've just plain enjoyed! They don't specifically have to be spiritual books, but it would be good if they had something to do with helping you understand more along that line of thought. Please share any info on the book you wish, if you can.

You'll probably see WAY too much of me in this thread... :) (Like I'm not already some omnipresent moderator to begin with! hahaha)

Just wanted it to be a separate resource list for those who are interested in getting MORE BOOKS! (OK OK... I have a problem with this. The first step is to admit you have a problem... hahahaha)

Ok. I'll start. You read. :)

"Jonathan Livingston Seagull" by Richard Bach (and anything else he's written!)

"The Nature of Personal Reality" (a Seth book) channeled by Jane Roberts

These are two of my favorite books of all time. "Jonathan" was the catalyst for my search for deeper meaning in life, and "Personal Reality" is a book I turn back to again and again and again. It's an excellent source book for those of you exploring the idea of conscious creation.

My "New Age Bible" is a little known book called, "The Calling of the Children of the Light". It is a channeled book and really helped to explain what was going on with me years ago when I had not a clue.

Another book I enjoyed a lot was The Pathwork book, "Creating Union". Great book for conducting a spiritual relationship.

Hmmm, let's see..."Sri Isopanisad" is a good offering that resonated with my feelings about God.

The works of Frank Petter on Dr. Usui and Reiki gave me a whole new perspective on Reiki.

I love the Crystal Bible, "Love is in the Earth" by Melody and Scott Cunningham's "Crystal, Gem and Metal Magic".

In Astrology, it's "Astrology for the Soul" by Jan Spiller. It explains a lot about what we are doing here.

Jack Cornfield's, "A Path With Heart" helps through the rough times.

And when I need a good escape, the Harry Potter books work really well!

WOW. I thought I was the only other person who ever read "The Calling of the Children of the Light"!!

I can sometimes be a collector of obscure books... heck, I was a regular reader of "The Connecting Link" magazine (Bernie Kovaks and the Ashtar Command) back in the day!! hahahaha

No, a copy "fell into my hands" years ago and I bought up all that I could find and gave them as gifts to very special people. Then it virually disappeared. A very strange book, that one.

How odd, I just looked on Amazon and 5 copies are available from $2 to $190! I wonder where the people are today who channeled it?

It was a strange book - but wonderful all the same. It helped me a lot along the path of a lightworker. Sometimes I think we have to "step into the strange" (for this paradigm, anyway) to get into the right space to understand some of the things we're learning about.

And so much of what we are doing falls out of the realm of "regular reality".

Hmm...I do highly agree with the Scott Cunningham book. I really enjoy his books for a quick reference with something.
I'm also a big fan of Doreen Virtue. My first book of hers was "Healing with the Fairies" and after that I was hooked. Funny enough, my mom bought it for me and I at first didn't want to read it. I also connect really well to her cards. One of my favorite books of hers to buy other people is "Archangels and Ascended Masters" book. I bought it for several people and they love it. I also like books by Sonia Choquette (I apologize if I spelled her name wrong, my books are still packed away). She has one called something along the lines of a psychic handbook that give you exercises to try out and do over a period of several weeks. She's a bit quirky, if you've ever seen her speak, but she's fun.
Admittedly, I don't read like I could. I love reading, but for some reason I buy books and never read them. So, most of my books are what I would call my "reference" books. If it's not utterly short or I can't find what I need in a a few moment's time, I probably won't go through it. I think my guides are just making me get my own information in other ways. lol Silly guides. :)

For help in conscious creation: Shakti Gawain's "Creative Visualization" series.

For meditation (not the techniques, so much as the contemplation therof): anything by Thich Nhat Hanh

Shirley MacLaine's books are marvellous.

The Kryon series (WONDERFUL!!)

For those who enjoy a challenge and some real out-there information: The Urantia Book

And a handy little book that's easy to carry around with you, dealing with the use of the mind (applicable to conscious creation in a BIG way, for such a small book!): James Allen's "As a Man Thinketh" (which has also been transcribed for women, called, of course, "As a Woman Thinketh")

Welcome to the group, Maggie!

I just recently picked up "Divine Guidance", and I really enjoyed it. I like how her writing is just like sitting down over a cup of tea and having a chat about her everyday life. The first of her books I read was "The Lightworkers' Way". So far those are the only two, but I know there will be more!!
