Dear Anna,

My name is Tansy Bradshaw. I am 19 years old and live in the East Gippsland town of Bairnsdale in Victoria. I was looking up some youth help when I stumbled accross this youth training - I have heard about FRANK before.

I have just been allocated the position of a regional youth group called CRAYV (Creating Real Actions with Youth Visions). We are currently in a position where we have no funding to continue CRAYV and have no one whilling to take us up.

Do you have any surgestions on what I could do?

I reckon fundraising would be a great way to raise funds? Try to come up with a clever idea that people will want to get behind and support. Maybe also try an idea that profiles the young people you support. Another source of funds may be local businesses? Good luck!! Karen :)

I have some suggestions:
- Have you contacted your local council for support? If you haven't get in touch with someone at the community services, or youth services department, or find out about when public meetings are on with councillors attending, and ask to speak at one of those meetings to try to guage their interest and support!
- If you have a group of young people together, you could also apply for funding to run a project or event. The Foundation for Young Australians and Indent are two organisations that fund lots of youth projects/events, so visit their websites to see if any of their funding would be applicable to you.
