Yeah, I know there's not much of a scene anymore, but where are bands playing nowadays? I haven't been there in like the past year. Back in the day, we used to have shows at like Long Island Zoo, The Roadhouse, shit like that and I know those places are closed now. What's going on with places now?

Wow, hardcore shows have been ruining venues for years. Seriously, everytime a place opens, it works out great until some asshole scenesters get there and intentionally fuck the place up like it's their damn duty. Fuck that shit.

THE DOWNTOWN (BIH) was more damaging to the scene than anything...come on...15 dollars for local shows? Why the fuck would anyone pay that much to see a band that's not on any record label? The place was cool, but I hated going there...plus the security guys were all a bunch of losers living out of their mom's basement...

I miss like the ollld ass bands in the scene and shit...Like PUNK RAWK stuff. Nowadays it seems everyone is trying to be ARTSY or EMO...It kind of sucks. Does anyone remember like 48 in the Basement, Whoopie Cushion, Embarassing Wrecks, Microwave Orphans...etc.?

Hahahhahahah the wrecks played my friends graduation party. And my friend was with Dallow for years. But 48 was awsome. I have to say though...i don't remember whoopie cushion.

DAMNIT I MISS THE ROADHOUSE!!!!

I think Whoopie Cushion became that band THE GOODWILL or something...I know they used to play with The Ataris like back in 2000/2001 when the Ataris were just Joe Schmoes.

Back in 03 Kurt from Wrecks was starting a new band called "Day Labor Union" and I played guitar with them for a few weeks. Haha I was kind of like star struck at first cause I was like "dude I'm playing with the wrecks" and I always saw them kind of like scene legends as stupid as it sounds. Then they kicked me out because I was too young and that pissed off the drummer. Haha good times....
