Hey All -

It was tossed about last month and now that it has been released, how about declaring -

BOTTLE ROLL PLEASE - - -

Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau -

I picked up mine today when I hit my local store for some other additions to the racks -

The label is a bit busy BUT I love the colours -

I'm not sure when I'll open mine, but when I do, I share my thoughts with all of you!

Cheers !

Okay - I drank some of the BN last night - the only comment I can pass along from it was Bacon in Vinegar!

My mother made a wilted lettuce salad as I was growing up that included cooked bacon in a vinegarette over torn up pieces of lettuce -

The flavour of the BN reminded me - to the point I could think of nothing BUT - the bacon/vinegar flavours -

Yes - it was thin - I would NOT buy it again -

Who else has had any BN?

Cheers!

I haven't had any of the BN., but I've heard it's usually pretty funky, bordering on fruit juice.

I am, right now, drinking a 2004 Robert Hall Merlot. I'm not a huge fan of Merlot, but this one is pretty damn good!

Picked it up in Paso Robles last time i was up there. And I just got my shipment from Tobin James today.... 8 bottles of some damn good looking stuff! Woot!

BN = overhyped swill Just my opinion.

Robert Hall Merlot seemed a little too overwhelmed with green pepper notes. I couldn't get past that, however I do enjoy his other wines. The rose is great for a hot summer day.

We bought a bottle yesterday of the Beaujolais Nouveau, Louis Tete...
I am skeptical in even opening it as several have declared the Beaujolais not fitting to drink this year.. our wine store was out of the cute little colorful bottle Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau so maybe I was lucky they were out..We shall see....anyway Cheers!! Ill post notes on this at another time when we pop the top.

Nice Beaujolais, a little on the dry side which is what I like.
