Thanks, Its now night time, but oh well... it warms my heart to read a friendly post like this one. So I will go to bed thinking how great it was to be sober today and get rewarded by still being around to read your post. Goodnight.

Daily routine eh? I used to do them in my head on the way to work. Lucky to even be driving, I was thinking of this today......good morning back. It feels good to know I'm going to sleep tonight instead of passing out..in fact, I've been sleeping for over a year and a half.....no more pASSING OUT IN MY WORK CLOTHES, AND WAKING UP STINKING, AND struggling to take a shower, 5 minutes, and I'm done

I guess I should have written Good day, but oh well. I am glad to see it has been looked at. Going to a meeting tonight....a birthday meeting, cake & Ice Cream. The most impressive thing is that a close friend / sponsor is celebrating 36 yrs.
Some ask why I do steps 1 , 2 , 3 everyday.........................simply because it keeps me sober. It has been working for several 24's so why should I stop ?
I tell all my sponsee's to try it for 90 days & watch the promises come through for them.
I love this program of AA. It is my life that has been spared, so I try to give back.
Big Hugs to all who have that desire to stay sober
Feel free to contact me if ya need a friend

I'm sober and sitting upright... that's always a good start. Said the 3rd step prayer. Now it's all about showing up, paying attention, and telling the truth.
It's always a good day when I don't drink or use. Good morning...
and today is dia de los muertos!

Glad you bumped it back up. I missed the first go around
G'day to all of you out there and thanks for the blessings Mike.
It is wonderful to be sober today. In fact today is the first day of the rest of my life and so far it is a wonderful life. Of course I have been saying that for a few years and it is getting a bit old now but it is still true.
If can't be grateful and happy today when will you be grateful and happy?

Thanks to all who replied, let's keep this going so the Bill W. here won't think that his recovery is gettin a bit old. Not bragging, I rolled over 14 yrs the last of Sept. Everyday I thank GOD for this new life. A life of laughing, loving, living. You see this program was my last chance, I failed every suicide attempt for 4 yrs, was institutionalized, the only thing I didn't seriously try was AA. I have died that alcoholic death, I sure don't wish for anybody else to suffer the way I did.
Bill, I am so glad that you ended with that little phrase.
Let's all keep passing it on.......Step 12 don't say to wet alcoholics, it says ............
you know what it says.
I am Mike and I am an Alcoholic
Hugs & great love to all who read this

There is strngth in numbers, I look at the post here just as I go to meetings, read the book, pray, meditate. I am sick and I need all i can get to keep me on the pathway to recovery and to be able to enjoy life. We have been blessed with the modern technology of the net, remember or just think about what the first 100 went through when they started this sobriety society.
Hugs to all, and to all HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY OF LIVING

Have a wonderul, grateful day to all!
Been in a funk for the longest time. This 8th yr has really kicked my ass but I still keep doing the things I need to do. I've thought about using here recently, in spite of what I know it will do to me and where I will end up. (dead or in prison for life after I live on the streets for some time!)
Has anyone else gone thru a hard time during their 7-10 yrs? I hear that its no that uncommon. I really don't want to go to meetings. Been very hard to literally drag myself but I do. I was told it was the actions that counted but I am getting sick of hating meetings. I share and try to bring positivity to that meeting. And I do feel better after I leave. Dont' know whats going on.
I don't want to drink even though I've thought about changing the way I feel.
Have a great day and thanks for listening. Any esh with this would be great!

What a gift this day has been, a freiend in the rooms asked me to sponser her!
I officially have my first sponsee! I'm a bit worried but will hand it over to God and all will work out. Service is important!
