JP's Come from Behind Marathon for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Coming from behind to raise money.

On January 7, 2007 I will be running in my 5th Marathon through the parks of Disney World to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, however, this 26.2 mile run will not be like the others. I will be starting the Marathon last behind everyone. Fighting cancer is a marathon in itself and patients have to come from behind to beat this disease and my run will be symbolic of this struggle. 16,000 people will be starting the Marathon on January 7th and my goal is to pass 10,000 of them in my efforts to raise money to help beat this disease.

I am asking for your help in sponsoring my efforts by pledging a donation based on the amount of people I can pass. At 1 penny per person, if I am to pass 10,000 people, it would work out to be a $100 doantion. A ½ penny donation per person would be a $50 donation. As a pledge sponsor, please fill out the below form and mail it to me or you can email me your pledge information to: jplatkovic@triandduit.com. After I return from the Marathon I will notify all of my pledge sponsors of the total amount of people I passed and how to send in the donation.

Seventy Four percent of all money raised throug fundraising efforts go directly to research in battling this disease and to help run the programs that support cancer patients. My goal is to raise $10,000 for this event and I can only do it with your help and support. To start off my fundraising, I have personally donated $50 and hope you will match my donation or even beat it. Cancer, may at some point, touch all of our lives and its through our personal efforts that we can try and prevent this.
