Got a project to pimp? A website, a zine, a cd, a book, an event, scrappy mail order business or some other labor of love to promote? Get the word out here!

Speaking of Getting The Word Out, I'm going to kick things off by recommending fellow East Village Inky reader's book & website, Get The Word Out, a galvanizingm homegrown collection of interviews, resources, and how-tos that will help you get your guerilla marketeer on!

Jeffrey is also the author of 52 Projects, an excellent egg to crack when you sense that you're pouring all of your creative juice into the endless suck of the internet.

I make cool black shirts and onesies for babies & kids! If you click on my profile to the left you can see the myspace page and be my friend. Or, you can just go to my website and shop to your heart's content. My husband and I do all the silk screening and heat pressing of our designs, which include parodies of rock & metal bands, movies, tv shows, and even modern art masterpieces. We also have other fun designs including road signs, peace signs, skull & bones, and more alternative stuff.

Huge wonder also has some fine infant-sized karate pants for all your newborn martial artist's needs.

I just got this plea from a myspace-challenged East Village inky reader who's just published her first book:

The British rawk -n- roll biography I've been working on for four years is finally OUT, so please help out a fellow Hoosier expat and pass the word on to any music fans (esp guitar nuts):

CHRIS SPEDDING: RELUCTANT GUITAR HERO
by Kimberly Bright
iUniverse, Inc.

available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Powells, and the iUniverse bookstore (plus a bunch of places in the UK: Foyles, Waterstones, News From Nowhere, and Bonds Books).

www.quaintrealist.com

There you have it! Prepare to rock your guitar nuts off. And encourage like-minded individuals to "do the my space thing" because otherwise, I'll never finish a new project to pimp on my own behalf. The vortex is too seductive!

...continuing the guitar theme:

Dinosaur band launches debut hard rock album for kids
(Austin, TX) - Rockosaurus Rex is a kids' hard rock band of four dinosaurs - Rex (guitar, vocals), Screech (guitar), Bones (bass), and Sara Tops (drums). The debut album release, The Big Bang! , features true rock versions of 21 classic children's songs, complete with wailing guitar solos and driving percussion. The Big Bang! interprets kids' music on a grown-up level. From the Queen-inspired "This Old Man" and the instrumental metal "Pop Goes the Weasel, " to the anthemic sound of "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt" and the radio-friendly pop rock "Six Little Ducks, " each song is arranged and performed as a valid rock band composition. This album will appeal to parents as much as kids, especially those who are sick of the typical watered-down children's music sound.

The Big Bang! by Rockosaurus Rex is available now for preview and purchase on the website.

Rockosaurus Rex on MySpace has four full tracks for listening.

i reckon it's too late to stuff this in any spontaneous stockings, but if santa left you some shiny dimes, y'all kids should drop it on rockosaurus ... it's great!

In truth, the wheels have come off our bus (thank scrod)... I don't NEED children's music, but this is children's music it's easy to love...and not demeaning for a 9 year old television deprived miss to listen to either!

show your love to a fellow list member!

I want to pimp my friend's site

she just made me that and I loved her before but I love her even more now. I use her pads, they are really nice, super comfy & affordable (I know a lot of other cloth pads are very spendy)

Oh my god, it's hilarious and beautiful, very All About Eve! A menstrual pad worthy of Bette Davis! I think I'd be tempted to wear it outside my pants!

I have a hundred things to do before I fall in love for good: www.hundredthings.com

As of last night, I have 51 down. One of my best friends took a drink to the face to let it happen.

(I am so excited to find Ayun on MySpace! Squee! Total fan-girl geek-out moment!)

Hi, fellow campers!

I'd like to pimp my friend Josh Horowitz's book The Mind of the Modern Moviemaker: 20 Conversations with the Next Generation of Filmmakers. Available through Amazon or at a big chain bookstore near you! Also, check out his website, Better Than Fudge for more film geekery--for free!

I'd also like to pimp my upcoming appearance with the GrownUps Playground, a comedy improv troupe led by Joy Newman, who played Cousin Ruthie in Woody Allen's Radio Days, at the New York Comedy Club at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007. I'm not yet officially a member of the troupe, and this is my "trial" show, so if you're in the NYC area and you'd like to come down (or up) and wish me mazol, that would be awesome.

Oh, yeah, I also have a blog...big yawn. Heh. Please visit Kitschen Table if you're so inclined.

Thanks, love, and Happy New Year to all!

Now this is more like it! Pimp w/ abandon, friends!

Karla, I regret I'll be unable to make your appearance, as I'm already ticketed up for the Golden Festival, which promises to be a wild n' crazy balkan time... til 4 in the morning, on the other end of manhattan...whoooooooooooooo!!!!!!

Lynne, I love your project. Can I be one of the 50 when you hit #80? Musical wise, have you seen the Wiz? I love it.

and Claire du Lune, you got the, ain't no friends like pad pimping friends , especially if you're the raddest pad manufacturer on the planet.

You're all inspirational! Gives me the oomph I need to do some final fact checking (oh ha ha ha ha ha ha) on the new East Village Inky and haul its ass to the printer tomorrow.

Ayun, I'd love to send you a postcard even though I finished #80 last week. And not only have I seen the Wiz, I have it on DVD. I LOVE films that were made in New York in the 70s. They're so gritty. Makes me want to dye my hair so the Sun of Sam won't kill me.

Please finish the next installment of Inky. I'm a new subscriber and want my first copy.
