I actually never wanted to leave Alaska because of all my friends. But I suppose Hawaii is a nice place to escape to if you have to leave Alaska.

I escaped to Seattle, then went back to AK to get hitched, then followed the hubby to Georgia, then Germany, and now we are officially Washington residents and have bought a house here in Spokane. No going back now!

uhh...Oklahoma.
I absolutely hate it.
I planning on moving back.
You never know how good a place can be until you leave it.

First was San Diego. Almost hate it there! If not for the beaches, weather and all the stuff to do it would be unbearable (Bunch of fake and rude people!)
Now I am in Santa Cruz, CA. Last time I lived here it was heaven, now so much more crime and SOOOOOO expensive! I always said the farther north I go the happier I am (except Portland and that's only cuz my crazy sis lives there!) and am making plans to move to Anchorage! In time for spring!

escaped to Payette, Idaho, and bought a house, and never plan on returning.. all of the wonderful outdoor things I liked to do in AK, I can do here, at a fraction of the cost. Sure, the fish ain't quite so big, but I can actually find a fishin hole that has no people, and I don't have to FLY to get to... And whatmore, I get paid the same money to do the same job, and everything here costs 1/2 what it does up there.... so HAH!

My mom's in the air force so I stayed in alaska for only a couple years. we were stationed there twice (I was born in ak the first time we lived there). We moved from Alaska to Illinois and now Florida. With more states in between of course.

Left in 1998 for college in Washington, outside Seattle. Then moved to the midwest. Yucky midwest...too much corn. The biggest shock was how different people are here compared to Ak.

I have since moved to Oregon, after living in Klukwan for a few years. 10 to be exact. My mom moved us to Ak when we were kids and most of us have come back to roegon at one point or another. My brother and I are the ones who have decided to stay behind in Oregon and not move back to alaska.

Well, I was born in Valdez and raised in the Anchorage/Wasilla area. I spent a little time in Olympia, WA - it was beautiful there, loved it. I also spent a little time in Oklahoma, which I absolutely hated. The six months I spent there was a complete waste of my life, and time that I'll never get back. However, now I live in Georgia, Vermont with my boyfriend and it's actually not too bad. I can't say I don't miss Alaska, because I do.. all of my friends and family are there as well. It sucks sometimes (especially holidays) but it's a nice, peaceful escape.
