I think we should either legalize it, or ban alcohol! I think alcohol and it’s effects are much worse than marijuana. Also, it’s a plant. God put it here, so why is it illegal??? It would also help get our government out of the debt (that’s about to get worse) as I am sure they would tax it if it was legal.

pot should be legal for many reasons first and foremost if it was regulated it could be taxed and bring additional income to states and nationally also it would prevent "terrorists" from profiting from it also the rise in the horticultural goods needed to grow could be purchased from american companies it does help people with a multitude of illneses from cancer to help battle nausea and promote an appetite to migranes also the side effects fom some of the perscription meds that help with the same kill your liver and are sometimes worse that the problem they correct and anyone who has smoked pot knows that all you will get is a case of the munchies and maybe a little tired also there are no cases of a marijuana overdose unlike almost all meds and hard drugs with pot if you smoke too much you take a nap and a recent research project in the uk showed that it helped stop and in rare cases slowly reverse brain cancer and in countries that have legalised it (ie amsterdam) have a far less rate of hard drug addiction pills crack meth so on and so on

Yes I think weed should be legalized because ill get it no matter what and if they just sold it in a store it would be safer than going to some crack heads house to get it well i dont abuse weed though i use it as a recreational drug only i dont leave the house or drive when i use it so i say fuck it leagalize it its the only safe drug out there

also let me ask u a question how many weed related deaths have you heard compair that to tobbaco

Legal drugs kill more people thane heroin (check it out www.drugwarfacts.org/causes.htm) and marijuana is a hell of a lot safer than heroin.

they cant just sell it in stores ppl would just start growin it themselves therefore tha govt would not make as much money as u are thinking n they cant legalize it and say u cant drive on it like alcohol bc theres no direct way to test u for it and they simply dont want to put tha time n money into creating new laws n inventing tests bc its a very sensitive subject n if ppl speak up bout it and it does not get legalized then there careers could possibly be ruined...its jus to risky

They make cigarettes, one of the leading killers in america, legal and sell them to kids 18 and up. If the legalize something that kills, they should legalize something that has never been proven to kill and set laws around it. If we can legalize drinking to people 21 and up, then we can set laws such as no driving after smoking, and age limits around the legalization of marijuana. It is a personal choice just as smoking a cigarette or drinking a beer is and it should be legalized with regulations.

I absolutely think marijuana should be legal. especially with the economic problems we’re having right now. I think if the US was to legalize marijuana, we could regulate it and it could be our next cash crop. All sorts of things can be made from hemp, it’s not just for ’getting high’. If there was more information (readily available to the masses) about the good products that come from cannibus, people wouldn’t be so opposed to it.
