Sometimes I get sucked into this show on the Disney Channel called "Hannah Montana". I have no clue why! *LOL*

As I was flipping through the channels, I stopped at the show and caught the end. In it, she was guest starring in a television show where a guy was a Zombie Slayer. She played a Zombie and they had feelings for each other and were supposed to kiss.

Because I'm a dork, I got all excited! I thought it was extremely cool how it mirrored Buffy. Especially the love between a Zombie Slayer and Zombie that seemed all too familiar!!! It was like watching a weird version of 'Angel'. *lol*

OMG I was watching that show the other day too. I was thinking the exact same thing. That is so funny.

*LOL*

I was debating on writing about it, but I HAD to!!! It was driving me nuts and I thought it was too funny. I had to get it out or I was going to burst. I'm a dork!

I'm glad you saw it as well! I hope others did. I figured I would start a thread because I know both shows have influenced others.

I have to mention Veronica Mars... And I've been sick and busy latley so I havn't had much time to read through the past entries. Is there anything about Veronica Mars?

Ways they are similar:
* Sassy, smart, strong female lead with angst-ful boyfriend.

* Teenage characters who talk like adults while solving adult-sized problems.

* Teenage characters who talk like adults while trying to survive high school.

* Snappy dialogue that skewers pop culture.

* Loud, loyal fan base, but meager ratings.

* Appearances by "Buffy" regulars Alyson Hannigan and Charisma Carpenter, plus the presence of "Buffy" creator Joss Whedon in an episode.

I copied those points from http://www.timesdispatch.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=RTD/MGArticle/RTD_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1128767933107

another thing to check out is this:

I am very obsessed with Veronica Mars right now, and I wanted to share it with people who would appreciate it!! It's on the CW this fall on Tuesday night, 9pm eastern, 8 central

has anyone else seen it?

There's also that show W.I.T.C.H. There is a red head named Will for goodness sake. She has power over "absolute power." Hmm....Our Willow had power over lotsa stuff. And there's one named Cornelia. She can move mountains or something. There's more too but I haven't seen anything on it in a while. I got this from the Jetix Page.

The Smallville episode, 'Thirst':

A Sorority of Vampires led by Buffy Sanders.

Hearing James say that vampires don't exist and Carrie Fisher say "Buffy the Vampire" was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

almost any strong female character on tv these days, since Buffy, the female protagonist can be a superhero without competing for Miss Muscles World

Anytime a television show or movie alters the term, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer":

White Girls

Marcus: "I don't see why I gotta go out with Buffy the White Girl Slayer."

Don't worry, Meghann... I get sucked into Hannah Montana too.

I gotta watch Veronica Mars, though.

This one made me jump for joy since I'm a HUGE Bowling for Soup fan! Unfortunately I had to put the whole video since I couldn't get just a picture of what I wanted...look for it about 1 minute 13 seconds in...and then watch the whole video, cuz it's f'in hilarious!

There was a recent Smallville episode where clark wakes up in an alternate world in a mental institution. Sound familiar?

I have to say tho...a good chunk of the smaller, by the way, storylines from Smallville came directly from Buffy. Half that show is stolen from others.

well in my opinion Buffy was, is and will be the best program ever, people are running out of ideas and of course the need more of audience and to keep up with "Buffy's audience" (don't take wrong i have express before I love Buffy) they need to do something that in there mind is better, meaning copycat! Did I explain my point of view right?
