Sorry my spanish is pretty bad. My english is better and of course I speak german. I tried to translate your answer into german. I hope I understand your opinion correctly:

German Translation:
"Um Frieden zu erlangen, ist es notwendig, mit Änderungen in der pädagogischen Lehrtätigkeit anzufangen. Von der Grundschule an muss man die Denkweise ändern. Man muss in der Schule den Wert meines Lebens und den des Lebens meines Bruders oder jeder anderen Person lehren. Dort fängt man an, Frieden zu erlangen."

I think to start early with professional Education is a very important point.

To combine Education with a gun, like it is shown in your profile is strange.

I agree that the values: Live and Peace are part of the main core of morality.

What ways of thinking would you change, what is the Problem of Pedagogy in your opinion.

All the best
David

Hey "Movement" Guys,

you said:
"Peace One Day - We Say Snap - See What we are doing to for Peace One Day!

How or when should I see what, my lovely friends?

I tooked a look on your profil. Love and Respect is online - great. Doing something snappy in the future sounds like a groovy attitude.

But I really miss a genuine dialogue, that should be the basic of a moving community.

All the best
David

Hello David! I’m spanish and I can translate the message of Educa that I think you didn’t understand so right. He only says that education is the base of a future of peace. I agree with it... I will be be teacher in the future and my goal is to use my weapon of words and knowledge against the guns. The actual trouble that we have in Education is in first place that everybody in the world can’t acces to it... while the poverty exists. All that places where are in need of infraestructure of Education, the 3rd World... are the nest of the violence and the victims of the violence too. To make peace is necessary to support the education and spending in education and promote polititicians who pay attention to these questions. And the trouble in the pedagogy... I think the technicns are good but they can’t have results if the children hasn’t real examples in the society where they are living... I mean that we can teach to the children to solve their troubles talking and understanding the opposite if the presidents of the world finally decide to attack a country and to make a war to solve a trouble. The real message that they are having is that the reallity is not the same than the theorics that we teach in the class.

Hey Raquel,

in think you are right, that speeking the same language makes kommunication a lot better. Speech is probably the genuine competence that defines human beeings.

I actually think about cognitive and moral competences.

"I will be be teacher in the future and my goal is to use my weapon of words and knowledge against the guns." (R)

What exactly are in your opinion words, that could be used as a weapon against guns?
What knowledge will prevent for War?
What issues do you want to teach?

Sometimes it is obviously necessary to use Ockham’s Razor to clear up problems, but there is nothing mysthical in it.

To support Education all over the world (1, 2 & 3) sounds great and of course there are a lot of Organisations and Institutions still existing and I am pretty hopefully, that with the possibilities of new communication techniques, like this MySpace-Site or for example Moodle, we can handle a lot of problems easier.

Feed the World has to be realized by the Big Business, which would take some time and need some creation of new distribution methods and moral thinking. In this case I prefer Kohlbergs "Moral Music Chair".

The fruits of knowledge are growing on the tree of understanding.

All the best and I am courios hearing from you
David

Hello again!

Of course, we better understand to each other in the same language...

My weapons against the war and the bullets are the words. There is a song that I really like which says something like that: That words stop the bullets! (It’s of a Spanish Singer)

Like teachers there are a lot of weapons that we can use. I studied History and the subject that I will teach is Social Sciences. The issues in that subject are very interesting to create a world of peace because we are going to deal with troubles which are in the base of the most of the wars... poverty and injustice, intolerance...
The point is making understand to the teenagers of today the reason of these troubles, and by activities like conversations, plays, music, images, movies... they can recognice that these are troubles that we have to solve, and that they have to participate in the society and pushing to change the situation. To create social concience.

In other hand, when I talked about the need of spend in education in those countries where there aren’t infraestructures, I was talking about politics in that way... I know that there are organizacitions like UNESCO or other privat, like Pies Descalzos, or ALAS which are working so hard to create schools in the areas more poors of America, as example. But then the governments doesn’t care too much of it. I think that we have to create a great movement which include to all the countries to push the rich countries to care less of their own economies and try to help to get better the situation in the poor countries, because to me poverty is the origin of the most of the wars... to build the peace is necessary to end with the poverty.

Hey Warren-Profile,

you sound angry. In Germany we can actually see our Soldiers coming home dead again and this makes me sad.

However - are you a MASTERS PORK or MASTER SPORK ?

To answer your question:
I decided for myself not to be a soldier in the german "Bundeswehr" a long time ago and I helped old, blind and sick humans to handle their daily live and health.

Actually I think one of the most Important cases is the Education of our following Generation.

How about you?

More frustrated than angry. Like I said in the last post I would be more encouraged by these types of things if it would get people to get involved in helping in their community, making a difference. But all it seems to do is get people to say that they support it and go back to their normal lives without any concern or care what is happening around them.

It is Spork for the unique flatware that it it.

I am not asking anyone to be a soldier if they do not want. What I am asking is what are you doing to help the community to make it a better place? My cousin went on a two plus week trip to Africa to help out a local village’s standard of living. I am going to try to do that after my tour in Iraq is done.

I guess that is what I disagree with, in order to help reduce or stop wars in these areas is to improve the standard of living in all areas such as health care, food, shelter and yes education. But without the first three the fourth will never happen.

I have seen the blood , I have helped in a mass causality event back in June 3rd where a Iraqi army convoy was hit with a IED and small arms fire. Here is the entry I wrote about it on that day.

Those are the last words anyone medical personal wants to hear and that is what I woken up to at 1:30 this morning. It seems that there had been a IED attack and multiple incoming injured and a requests was sent out for additional medic and CLS. I was there in less then 15 min.

There was a weird calm in the receiving area where we waited for the ambulances to come from the Hel Pad. I was put in charge of the priority/walking wounded. It turns out that these where Iraqi Army personal that where doing patrols with out the benefit of all the anti-IED electronics, some of them ride around in nothing but a F-150 Pickup truck. Some of them where as young as 21-20.

I ended up helping a total of two people, one just need new bandages and observation. The second one was moderate shrapnel wounds to the upper right torso, not going above the neck line. He also hand a open fracture on his lower leg but it was not protruding out side the skin. We monitored and gave him one litter of virgin normal saline as opposed to the first one that had morphine. We wanted to stick the right arm too but all his veins where blown so we could not use them.

His major issue was that he was getting poor /no circulation to his injured leg and it was getting cool to the touch, this is with a thermal blanket on so he should not be getting colder. The PA made the call to send him to a higher level of care. While we where waiting for his ride we cleaned off the blood and tried to get as much of the shrapnel out of his body as we could. He also got a free tetanus shot on the house.

I was told that everything was under control and I could go back to my unit around 2:30 or so. I then woke up at 5:20 to do my 11th mission which I just got back from . I think it is safe to say that I am a bit tired. Just want to thanks for all the well wishes, I have plenty of photos but I am having trouble uploading them because of our internet.. Talk to everyone later.

I see what is going on, I have been shot at, mortared, and hit with a IED, I know very well what is happening in Iraq.

This is a video of us going through a village in Iraq.
