Adi Granov's design was never my favorite, but in terms of being able to translate into live action, it's probably the best way to go.

I had a little fan-boy joygasm upon seeing that for the first time.

I'm kinda hoping they go for an Ultimate Iron-Man suit design for the movie, either that or one of the much older, chunkier designs.

I really don't like the slim-line, almost effeminate Iron-Man suits, but it seems like the Fav is already on the case.

From Superherohype.com:

Actor-director Jon Favreau ("Elf, " "Zathura"), who will helm Iron Man, said he is approaching the project as a series of films and looks to be sticking with an origin tale initially. He shared his thoughts on the version of the Iron Man suit Tony Stark will bring to life. Initially, it will be the gray metal suit, since he builds it as a prisoner of war. The more modern red and yellow suit will appear in the film and Favreau aims to make it more of a RoboCop-type feel instead of a Power Ranger-style suit.

"The suit will be more like a weapons platform than a flying suit more of a War Machine-feel to it, " said Favreau.

We shall trust in the Fav,
All faith to the Fav,
The Fav abides,

Amen.

This must be Tom Cruise because I really have never heard the word "Capable" ever to describe Tom Cruise.

Tom Cruise is a douche bag!!!!

In my opinion it is at least better than what Finch did with the armor when he drew it (and I beleive it is essentialy the same armor) in new avengers. And granovs stuff of the old Armors is amazing, I really think Granov may be the most diffinitive artist for Iron Man in the last 20 years. Just my opinion. I really like the way Turner drew Granovs armor but thats the thing, everyone drawing Iron Man right now looks like they're just drawing Granovs armor. The only one who comes close to me is McNiven, his stuff seems very realistic and like it could translate well to, but Granov's versions of the Original grey bucket head armor is what sells me on him more than anything. Ok enough ranting.
