Dermablend made by loreal is great for covering up skin imperfections from discoid spots to redness, acne and spiderveins. I found dermablend in an Ulta Beauty store, I tried most of what they had and found a good color. They have a round container with a high power creamy stuff that's sposed to be able to cover the worst of skin damage and birthmarks. I got the tube with a more foundation like mix because I have redness everywhere and it is still very good cover, it's like the medium strength. The makeup is supposed to be very easy on your skin and not cause acne etc, I have not had a problem with it. I just want to share this product with anyone it may help. Oh and salesgirl said you dont neeed to buy the more expensive powder they sell, said just a basic covergirl compact or loose powder I suggest translucent with this makeup because the dermablend colors your face like a brand new paint job the powder color just messes with it unless you really need it to adjust the color. You do need some powder to set it though and dab the makeup on problems and spread from there you dont need much just dont use like you do regular foundation. Any questions let me know. Much Love

I basically educate them and make them listen. I work at a retail store and i don't want people to feel uncomfortable around me. People are usually very understanding. Well, gotta go, talk to you guys later.

I have had lupus for about 8 years now, first they classified it as DLE, but this last year my new doc says its closer to subacute cutaneous lupus, but still primarily to my skin.
I've become pretty much an expert with covering my face, and my face is pretty bad, red or pink almost all over, with right now 5 spots on forehead 3-4 on each cheek, big area on my chin, both sides of nose, and one on my lower lip. On a scale from 1-10 it's probably about a 6 from what it's been at other times.
Most people I meet or who know me have no idea what my face looks like, and then if they somehow happen to see me without makeup (I very rarely leave the house without makeup) I will usually get this reaction "Oh my gosh!! What happened?!" I usually say "Nothing, I always look like this, I just don't have my makeup on" It's so tiredsome trying to explain it to people. Justs a few months ago I was really bad, ecspecailly on my arms, it looked so gross, and hurt, I couldn't even dry my arms off with a towel after a shower. So one day at work, (I'm a bartender, and uniform is a short sleeved shirt), a dumb ass guy was at the bar and pretty much was making some comments that I must be "a picker" in other words he was saying I must use meth.....comments like that are just so infuriating and make me soooo mad! Just wanted to vent about that a little.
Anyway (got a little off track there), the makeup I use now and I absolutely love it is Sheer Cover, saw it on an infomercial, and decided to try it. It's just a powder but it covers amazingly! It costs $30.00 for a months supply and it really does last that long. For the 30.00 you get concealer, the powder base, finishing powder, face cleanser, and mosturizer. When I first bought it I was thinking I doubt this will work because I usually had to cake my makeup on but it is really great!
