WEEK of THE 4th!!!!



That means I kind of want to be patriotic...So, for retailer of the week I decided to go with a little RED, WHITE and BLUE!!!!

RED: We thought about giving you a floral vendor here and telling you about beautiful red roses... but we decided that every bride needed to be well "read" and wanted to tell you about some GREAT periodicals!


Your Wedding Day is an amazing publication if you are from the California area! It is well photographed, well edited, and overall a pleasure to read!

Also I think it is important as a bride to check out bridal blogs... READ what your friends are saying about vendors in your area! Technology has advanced us to the point that word of mouth has become word of type!!! Find out who they are saying is GOOD!!!!

WHITE: For white I choose the GOWN... Now days there is such a trend for splashes of color in your gown or to have the whole gown another color that I just wanted to quickly remind you there are "white" gowns still out there...Try Kelly Chase!

BLUE: My retailers of the week...that's right retailers of the week! It's ALL in the NAME this week!!!

My retailer's of the week are "SOMETHING BLUE"...

There are a lot of salons, event coordinators across the nation who have adapted this name to their businesses, but this week I chose the top two Something Blue Salons.

The first is a cute little boutique in Las Vegas, Nevada!

I have previously listed Something Blue LV in retailer of the week! They are so GREAT though they deserve a second mention.

I love this salon. It is a bit off the strip, not your Im running to Vegas to get married salon. It is 5 star service!

They offer wedding planning as well as flowers. They have a great sense of style and have wonderful customer service skills. (Everyone knows... the key to pleasing me is making the customer smile!!!) They carry a number of great designers and are quickly adding to their selection! Something Blue is a MUST for NEVADA brides!!!! It is a new salon located on Rainbow Blvd. In a newer area that is being developed rapidly. Something Blue is the perfect stop for you on your search for ... "the perfect day."

So try something OLD (the grace and elegance of traditional customer service!)

In the year 2000 Kenneth Chase Conaway took his wife Kellys creative vision for designing beautiful wedding gowns, along with his own desire to discover a creative outlet for his talents in business and created KELLY CHASE COUTURE.

Kellys childhood love of sewing and tailoring coupled with a passion for fashion led her to pursue an education in fashion design. By the age of 13 Kellys plan was in place to first attend the University of Wisconsin Madison to complete a bachelors degree in apparel design then move on to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) to complete an associate degree in fashion design. It was during these years Kelly was introduced to the bridal industry by working in a bridal alteration department in a large bridal salon. It was here in the alteration department Kelly learned first hand how to fit and properly construct a wedding gown.
With all the skills in place Kelly has worked in both the bridal as well as ready to wear industries for several years prior to 2000.

Kenneth Chase Conaway is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of KELLY CHASE COUTURE, LLC. Chases role in the company relates to the day to day operations, marketing and branding, graphics, sourcing of materials and labor. Chase was born in Valdosta Georgia but grew up in Panama City Beach Florida. Chase returned to Valdosta and attended Valdosta State University where he studied Archaeology & Anthropology and received a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. After graduation Chase relocated to Houston Texas and attended The Ocean Corporation where he was trained as a professional commercial diver.

It was here in Houston where Kelly and Chase first met and eventually Chase decided put his love of the sea on hold and join Kelly in the pursuit of high fashion. KELLY CHASE COUTURE was born.

Kelly and Chase recently relocated their lives and corporate headquarters to south Florida where they can have the best of both of worlds, a connection to the sea and a solid base for high fashion. Kelly and Chase are currently planning the latest photo shoot which will ad more diversity to the line. Stay tuned for the new styles and updates to their growth & progress.
