We do a retailer of the week in our blog section on our page and we want to try and repost it in their state as well!
Retailer of the WEEK!
Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping
Nestled in the mountains of Colorado there is a beautiful 5 star resort.
The perfect location for a wedding... The Broadmoor Resort though is not this weeks retailer of the week. Inside the Broadmoor amongst all the cute little boutiques lies a bridal store perfect for the bride who needs EVERYTHING!
They carry shoes (by Shelley George), jewelry (by Ti Adoro), accessories (by Aalexis) and so much more! De Ma Fille is this weeks retailer of the week!
de ma Fille loosely translated from French means "of/for my daughter." Linda Halbouty, like her daughter, listens well. She knew Meghann loved wedding planning, working to help others realize their wishes and going through the experience with them, but her current sales job was less than fulfilling.
On a road trip to Whistler, Canada, Linda and Meghann hatched de ma Fille. There, Meghann could concentrate on what she felt was the most significant experience in the wedding process, the "cornerstone" of the event, picking a wedding gown.
She would make it a comfortable place, a place where a bride, her mother and her friends felt at ease, where the process would be fun, engaging, without pressure. And the gowns would be exceptional, treasures nowhere else found from Kansas City to Los Angeles.
She would be small. She would specialize in custom items. She would open a "boutique."
de ma Fille unlocked the doors in October of 2002 and has quietly, steadily become a destination shop for the bride, her friends and the wedding gown.
Over 80 dresses from Angel Sanchez, L'ezu Atelier, Lynne Carter, Paula Varsalona, and Marissa lie in wait. Two lines of custom bridal jewelry are available from Ti Adoro Designs and the Christina Garcia Collection (the family still dives in the waters of the Philippines for the pearls). Shoes by Shelley George and Filippa Scott London are stylish and comfortable. de ma Fille also carries a complete line of accessories by Aalexis.
Kathlyn Arglio's "Chic Girls in Weddings" bridesmaids designs are so unique, girls will want to wear their dresses again! And, oh, the flower girl dresses by Shelley George and Vivian Nicole are a grandmother's dream. Cosabella Lingerie rounds out a bride's wants and needs.
Meghann stands firmly on the bedrock of her customer service. Shell consult with you, listen to you, allow you to touch, to feel, to question, to try on, to confess your wedding desires and best of all to let you gaze at your once-in-a-lifetime gown for as long as you like in front of her gilded, oversize mirrors.
Now, I looked up the definition of "boutique" in the dictionary as a way to begin this piece, but I feel that may have been premature. Boutique defined is "a small retail shop that specializes in gifts, fashionable clothes, accessories, etc."
I believe the most important word within that definition is "special."
de ma Fille is a true boutique.
As a footnote, Meghann's 95-year-old Papu (grandfather) coined an "advertising phrase" that he is intent on her using to tell the brides about de ma Fille and it goes like this:
"If you want to be beautiful on your wedding day come see me!"
From a photographer's eye, if you do see Meghann for your gown, Papu's words will stand true.
