Did everyone go out and vote yesterday?
Did everyone KNOW there was an election yesterday? What are your feelings about Senator Bob Garton being voted out of office?

Hey Bob! Thanks for joining!
For those who don't know, Bob is running for City County Council. The man behind the "What About Bob?" campaign (which is my opinion is EXTREMELY effective).
I agree about getting some fresh blood in at the State House, but the candidate who defeated Garton is pretty radical. I just hope the Dems will come out in full force in November and let the everyone else know that we are not ready for a Senator that supports public flogging.

I am totally disgusted by Senator Garton's loss. I know from personal experience he is the ONLY one in the State Legislature that will personally contact you by phone or e-mail as soon as he possibly can. He is the only one listed in the public phone book. Try contacting anyone else and all you will get is an auto generated reply and then dead silence. My opinion is Bob Garton lost because he was the only one in the Legislature with the Courage and the experience to stand up to Mitch Daniels. Gov. Daniels wanted Bob Garton eliminated because he could not Bully him like he does all the others. With Senator Garton gone, Mitch Daniels and his special interest groups from Illinois and other States can now shove through Bills to change the Laws regulating Gambling in Indiana. Now Mitch Daniels can build in-Land the Casinio's I think he wants to build. Money Money and more MONEY for Mitch. We will see how great of a change people think this is in Columbus once they realize just how much Senator Garton actually did for us and what we REALLY lost. Wait until the funding for Columbus disappears for any new projects or for our schools. I also would like to know why it is that no one actually knows any personal information such as employment history, Military History, Education/Degree's, Religious Affiliation, Group memberships etc about Mr. Walker?

I hope this will not be a one sided message board. As Myra said in the beginning it is for all progressive thinkers. I like to think that I am progressive and I guess we will see as we move along. Thanks Myra for the invite and what a great idea.
I took yesterday personal because of working with Bob Garton to create the NA Indian Commission for the state of Indiana. I always found Bob trustworthy and he never would say he could deliver something when he couldn't. But time goes on and so do we. I thank Bob for the help he gave to the NA Indian people of the state, BTW the only state in the union to be named for the Indian people. And I also thank him for representing his district for so long and bringing Columbus to the forefront.
Now, what do any of you know about the Democratic nom for senator? Corridon, right? I think we need to know where he stands on issues, don't you? The only thing I know about him is that he is a lawyer. If he wants to beat the flogger in November then he better get out there and let us know where he stands.

I know his Wife Cathline (Kitty) is also an Attorney. I believe their Son is the Attorney for the City of Columbus if my memory is correct. I think I also remember one or both of them being Prosecuiting Attorney for the City of Columbus in years past before Nash, I think. Memory is not accurate with Diabetes meds now. My youngest Sister Beth baby-sat for their children.
