List who you want and why.

For that matter, list who you don't want and why too.

Jim Caviezel would be my first choice.

Why? Watch probably one of his most underrated movies and roles, The Count of Monte Cristo. A very low-profile release in 2002 that ended up being a bit of a sleeper hit.

I think based on that role alone Caviezel would be the perfect Tony Stark.

Some great choices. Jim Caviezel was amazing in Thin Red line and Ron livingston was great in Band of brothers. I can see both doing a great job.

Russell Crowe is an obvious choice but he might be out of the budget range for the movie so unattainable. Or just unattainable because he is commited already.

Depending on how much of a comedic slant you intend for the movie. Adam Baldwin from Serenity/Firefly would be a good choice. He has the physical presence and the comedic ability.

I will give it some thought and come up with some others later. Bill

No Jesus.

No Russell Crowe, unless they swap out IM's repulsors for phone throwing beams.

Tony Stark should be played by someone svelte so the armor doesn't look unreasonably clunky, think Anthony Daniels as C3PO. Adrien Brody perhaps. The armor does all the work so Tony doesn't need to be musclebound like Batman. Okay, maybe Jesus. But definitely not Crowe. Colin Farrell might be interesting he brought a lot to Bullseye.

Is the studio insisting on a Name? Consider an unknown. Not someone on myspace.

For Tony Stark

The following are all believable in action scenes, great actors.

James Franco- he tried to get the role of Spiderman so he is into superheroes and I would cast him as Tony.

Hugh Jackman- Van Helsing, Wolverine, nuff said.

Ewan McGregor- Obi-Wan proves he can fight.

Karl Urban- Eomer the greatest warrior from Lord of the Rings.

Michael Rosenbaum - Lex Luthor in Smallville is suave and sophisticated.

Others:

Viggo Mortenson

Sean Bean

Bruce Willis

Joseph Fiennes would be great. Excellent actor and the right age.

Leo Dicaprio could work if his voice was deeper

Orlando Bloom could work as well. He was good in kingdom of heaven

Jude Law could pull it off as well..

Gerard Butler. It's not bad for me to suggest him though I suggested
him for John Carter is it? ;P

He's a really good actor. Plus, the hotness factor couldn't hurt. =)
