that's an acronym for best ever assembled store team.
every fucking morning we had to listen to a ridiculous pep-talk and then do a cheer.
i won't even bother to go into details on the cheer.
everyone i worked with hated that place and those who still work there talk about quitting and how unhappy they are.
my manager, who we had nicknamed "douchebag", was the biggest tool i have ever known. completely phony, he tried so hard to come across as caring and nice. once you got to know him, you realized what a phony turd he was. not even worth getting your knuckles bloody to cave his face in. if he were on fire, i wouldn't piss on him to put him out.
every day they would attach microphones to us and watch us on camera to monitor our "selling abilities". humiliating, yes; but not nearly as excruciating as having to "role play" every goddamn day.
mount juliet is a tiny hick town which is steadily growing, but very small nonetheless. the store i worked at was a brand new store. i was there for the grand opening. there were hardly any customers on the weekdays, and just a few more on the weekends. this is a store that had just opened in a small town. naturally it's going to take a while for business to pick up. that didn't matter to the managers. we were expected to sell, sell, SELL! basically, they wanted us to be sleazy used-car salesmen. do whatever it takes to get the sale, even though we didn't work on commission.
the last straw came on morning meeting when we were told we were going to be laid off if we didn't increase our sales. after a half hour of telling us how pathetic we were, they asked who wanted to lead the morning cheer. what?!
i quit that day. walked out.
that, in a nutshell, is why i hate best buy and will never shop there.
i could have gone into more detail, because there were many more absurdities, but you get the idea.

a recently just quite because of the a**holes workin there.
they thought i had stolen an ipod somehow so they 'had' to lay me off for a week so the could do a 'investigation' about a week later they called me and told me i could come back to work. they never said sorry! i needed those hours for money, and all i could do was nothin cause i couldnt go get another job and i couldnt work! that plus a couple of other things which showed that my managers dont know how to run a business lead me to quite.

i hate best buy. i havent steped inside of one since i quit
