Other than the Prefab section at CABoom, you were one of maybe four cool things there. I hope the exposure was good for your company.
Question.... the nylon seems much more durrable, and I was wondering why the colors and designs are not as crisp and wonderful as the vinyl? How durrable is vinyl, afterall? Will there be brighter nylon colors in the future? Or is there a design constraint or program that keeps them more toned down?
Thanks.

Hey Steve -
Thanks so much for your compliment! That really means alot to us considering all of the design-driven goods that were at CaBoom. The exposure was really great. It was probably one of the best show we've ever done because people there seemed to really appreciate the design and the detail. People like you really "got it"! :)
Thanks so much for your question. It's a very good one. To be honest, it's just really difficult to find vivid colored nylon. Nylon in general is used primarily for backpacks and military goods. Thus, you just don't get the same color selection that you get in vinyl. So, our nylon color pallette is extremely limited.
Vinyl is EXTREMELY durable - especially the vinyl that we use. It is called Naugahyde and is the top of the the line. It is virtually indestructible. The design detailing is more evident in the vinyl because vinyl is alot more "user-friendly". We can cut shapes out of it, we can sew details on, etc. You just can't do that with nylon because it is a weave. Shapes can't be cut out of it because it shreds and it is simply not thick enough to sew details on to.
For our next line, we are looking at different kinds of fabric to replace the nylon with that might offer more options. If you join our email list on our web site, we'll be sure to let you know when the new line comes out.
Again, thanks so much for your comments and questions. It really means alot to us that you took the time out to write!
Best -
Andrea @ S.R.
