I wanted to know if any of you guys are having problems with your address book since the service outage. Like when I go to enter a new number, there is no dropdown menu anymore for "home, work, personal, mobile" and so forth, which means all my contacts numbers are "unlabeled." I have no problem importing vCards from my computer over the Bluetooth connection, and everybody’s data goes right where it should, showing Mobile number or Work email or whatever. But on the device if I enter new contact information I got no drop down to label things and it’s really frustrating me. Am I the only one or is it happening to you guys too? And before somebody posts it, I should mention that I’m aware I can edit a csv file in Excel to fix this, but that’s so not the point.

Also, my apps, games, and communities are still all under the Applications menu instead of resolving themselves into the right sub-menus. The only game in the Games menu is Bob’s Journey, all the rest are in the Applications menu along with my Facebook, Myspace and Twitter apps. I’ve already had this kick replaced twice, once because the first one I got, back in May when it came out, was acting weird and buggy. T-Mo sent me another one, but the screen never stayed shut because one of the magnets was missing. So they sent me _another_ one. After the outage last month, a T-Mo rep had me reset my network APN, which helped get my email working again, but I still have these other problems. Plus my themes and ringtones have not come back either. I’ve started using the feature that lets us record our own 30-second sound clips for ring tones, and I like that. That isn’t the point though. I paid for this stuff, but I have no access to it. Also, I’m quite tired of the built-in default themes. That’s why I bought new ones from the Catalog. Basically I want to know if this is just me, or if you guys are all having this problem too.

This brings me to my other question. I’m seriously thinking about switching to the T-Mobile BlackBerry 8900 and I wanted to know if anybody can recommend for or against this? I’m definitely trying to stay in the T-Mobile family because honestly I really love them, but the issues with the Sidekick are making me think of getting a new device. The problem is I really love my Sidekick! Plus I compare it to other devices and this thing has pretty much all the features I could possibly want all in one place. The only thing it doesn’t have is WiFi, but that is by no means a deal breaker. You look at any other smart phone on the market today and they’re all lacking something compared to the LX ’09. Plus any device that does have all the features seems to have a much, much lower quality display and to be perfectly honest, this widescreen HD screen we got on the Kick has completely spoiled me lol. Seriously though, what do you guys think about an "upgrade" to the Curve 8900? Good idea? Terrible idea?
