As much as i love peter i am.its always that possibility, but don’t worry folks it wont stay this way he’s gonna take a power from nathan/sylar and get his ability back.

Faulty logic. Are you suggesting he has all of Sylar’s powers? Or perhaps that he has Sylar’s IA power that enables him to take other powers? Not sure how you could jump to such conclusions. We haven’t seen him use more than one power without having to touch someone else first.

He only took one power from Sylar (shape shift). He still only holds one power at a time. He currently has the speedster power, and nothing else (except the ability to replicate a power).

Peter can use multiple abilities. It just "appears" that he can only use one at a time since he hasn’t had a reason to use enhanced strength since the sword fight (which I might add, he threw Edgar against the wall after grabbing him by the arm which is when he would have most likely obtained the new ability).

Even on the official NBC website when it showed the fight scene, it was titled "Peter gets another ability" which I’m guessing, means that he still has the old one. He may not have actually obtained Sylar’s original ability, but just his empathy which allows him to hold more.

If Peter still can’t use more than one power, then I don’t know. In a way, I’m sort of glad they handicapped him, but I do hope he does get his original "Empathic Mimicry" back, even if it’s just for the final battle.

Until they show us concretely that he has managed to hold onto more than one power at a time (which they haven’t), I would not put any faith in the idea. The throwing/absorbing thing - all in the timing, perhaps.

Peter told Claire that he couldn’t fly, he certainly didn’t heal (meaning he didn’t get it form Sylar or Claire). Peter could very easily have used super strength to throw Edgar and steal the speed before letting go of his arm. Once he’s in mid-throw, momentum would carry him to the wall.
not say he couldn’t at some point hold more than one again, but there is nothing to indicate he can right now.

WOOOW all that information seems so familiar to me, like I’ve discovered it myself via thorough watching of my favorite show and have read the comment above in some shape or form more times than I can count ;)
Ok, here’s even my take on ONE particular word in Peter’s quote:
’Betcha thought I didn’t take that one.’ (in the limo after he took the shapeshifting power from Sylar. ’member??)
Why would he say it that way if he could take them all at once? If so it’s like taking someone’s bag of skittles and saying ’betcha didn’t think i took the yellow ones.’ DUH.

if that’s the case, then why was Peter beating himself up during the first episode of the season. Oh, and also, part of Sylar’s power is the hunger, so Peter would have already found and fought others with abilities, thus getting more powers

You aren’t following the show very closely, are you?

Look at it this way... we KNOW Peter took shapeshifting from Sylar. So, you must be saying that that if Peter also has Sylar’s original ability, then Peter must have taken ALL of them, right?

So why haven’t we seen him use ANYTHING except one power at a time? In the fight with Mr. Speed, why didn’t Peter just stop him with TK, shoot electricity, freeze him, or use any of the powers he would have had at his disposal?

He didn’t use any of them because he didn’t have any of them. He had, at the time, only Mohinder’s strength, and then took superspeed during that fight.

He no longer has shapeshifting, or strength, and never had "the hunger."

Well, no. Peter’s power is "empathic mimicry". His want to be faster/stronger is due to his growing need to save people. He doesn’t feel he’s saving enough people fast enough. He’s let himself become guilt-ridden over what everyone else has done in the psat few years and feels that he needs to make up for it all RIGHT NOW.
He doesn’t take "your power". His DNA mimics the DNA of another person with abilities. Right now, his DNA is only able to mimic one ability at a time.
