A great set of links to Seth material :

"You choose this place and time for your own reasons and your own challenges... and so this planet is not peopled with strangers, but those who are already psychically united, who then come to this planet in your time.
Your world is far more extensive than you realize, and your concepts have limited your experience. So, here, we knock the old concepts down. You knock them down as you encounter your own living psyche."
-Seth during class in late 1974, Sue Watkins, Volume 2 page 474

A great collection of Seth quotes , organized by book -
http://www.nirvikalpa.com/content.php?page=seth3
"Inherently the physical brain is capable of dealings with more than one main line of consciousness. This does not mean the development of dual personality, by the way. It means the further expansion of the concept of identity: You would not only be aware of the you that you have always known, in the same way that you are now, but a deeper sense of identity would also arise. That identity would contain the you that you have always known, and in no way threaten it. The new you would simply be more than all are now.
You would just have another expansion of consciousness, another self-who-is-aware-of-being in the same way that - using an analogy, granted - the writer is aware of the self who lives, in those terms; is the self who lives while being in a position of some apartness, able to comment upon the life being lived. Now in a very small way admittedly, that analogy hints at the kind of deeper events that occur as selves are born out of selves to operate in various levels of activity. In the case of entities, each such self dwells entirely in its own dimension or system of reality."

Just an idea .... go to the site listed above for Seth quotes ... if you don't find one in less than 5 minutes ... just move on .... it's not the right time ... but if you find something that you connect with , post it here ... You want to explore :
Non linear time
Astral projection
Lucid Dreams
Personal Power
Letting go of limitatons
Co-Creation
How Consciousness creates 'Reality'
past lives
The present moment
Probable Worlds
Parallel worlds
Collective Consciousness and Un-consc.
The Mind / Body connection
Pick one or more , I can't find an author 20 years later that seems to be hitting the center of whatever your target is as much as 'Seth' or Jane does.

I usually tell people to go one of 2 ways. If you are more interested in Metaphysics , go with 'Seth Speaks' and if you want to focus on transforming
every day life - go with 'The Nature of Personal Reality'. If you like your truths served up as fiction - go with 'Oversoul Seven.' - the first two of that series are great ways of telling the story as a story. If you have a half grip on the concept of us making or own reality , but you can't quite imagine that we also create all the 'evil' and suffering in the world - you will find 'The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events' fascinating. But I think that one works better after getting through 'Seth Speaks'.

"Although someone begins reading this material on page one, for example, this does not mean that page four hundred does not already exist. Your outer ego is forced into what could be called successive action, but the inner ego is not as bound."

In reference to Joe's comment - a very interesting story plays out through the 10 or so books that Seth / Jane Roberts wrote .... where Jane ends up dying quite young ... in her late 40's i think , despite wave after wave of beautiful lessons from Seth on the ability to transcend past limitations and create our own reality ....
It is a story that somehow , despite her early death , just seems to make Seth's message even more powerful ... and that is not something you can get from a handful of the best quotes ... you have to read the whole story ...

If I think the books will be of value to someone .... i usually tell them to read them with an open mind ... not trying to form an opinion right away about whether they are channeled material or not ... just listen to the content .... I believe the content stands alone in this case ... the content is so good , it doesn't matter where they came from.

thanks Abraxus, I've been meaning to delve into the Seth material for a while now but have suffered a bit from paralysis by analysis.
i'll have to check out those links - are there any e-book links to Seth stuff? I know bringers of the dawn is online for free, i wonder if Seth is?
To my knowledge there are no e-books available. Most of the books were out of print for some time between the late 80's and 1995 , this made it an interesting adventure through various occult bookstores and used book stores to compile this collection that is on my shelf .....
But now , thanks to a revived interest in the 'new age' most of them are in print and can be found used or new at Amazon or lots of other online sellers.

okay, i can not mention this often enough: if you like the seth material, read elias as well. all elias sessions are available for free at www.eliasweb.at - i know that must people who read seth are usually a bit sceptical to most other channelings due to the high standart that seth has set, but i can only reassure you: i was skeptical myself before reading elias (and before reading seth as well), and the elias material has proven to be equally "good". when i first read elias, i found it interesting, but nothing special. but then i got the hang of it and read alot of sessions, and then one day i came back and read those introdoctory sessions i've read a year ago or so, and all of a sudden even those introductory sessions had so much information and meaning that i didn't even inhale at first read that i was truly amazed. uhm yeah, enough hyping, if you like it just read for yourself.
it's funny that seth is mentioned in this group, didn't notice that when i joined. now, regarding "which seth book to read first": i'd suggest you to start with the nature of personal reality, i found "seth speaks" a bit too far from everyday life to start off with. i haven't read oversoul seven yet, but from what i've heard it seems to be quite challenging, so i'm not sure if that's too good to start off with.
oh yeah one last thing regarding elias: the nice difference between him and seth is that elias' channel mary ennis is still alive and well, so you can get sessions on such up-to-date topics such as to the wtc attack, the thailand tsunami wave, and so on.
