In light of the recent news that Warner Bros. is going to "reintroduce" Superman, and take him "as dark as [they’ll] allow it," there have been a great many rumors swirling that the star of Superman Returns, Brandon Routh, may not reprise his role. Why replace him when he still has so much to offer?

Click on the link below to find out why Brandon must return as Supes in this upcoming sequel, and how you, the fans, can get involved.

Im a fan of Brandon Routh’s work as Superman and Im very pleased with how the movie came out. But Hollywood has a special gift of f*%ing things up so we’ll see. I guess with the Dark Knight’s success and portraying Batman in a "darker" tone I guess they want to do the same with Blue.

I’m not a huge fan of Routh. I felt that his portrayal was dry. Bland. Routh himself is an experienced actor and I feel that he only received the role due to his slight likeness to Christopher Reeve.

I’m not downing the guy, he did the best he could, but I would prefer to see someone else in a major role like that.

I would still like to see Brandon Routh play Superman again. But I think Warner Brothers will screw up with the direction they’re taking Superman. I say continue Bryan Singer’s vision, darken the tone and more action this time so that those who disliked Returns will enjoy the new Superman movie.

Step 1. Do another Superman Origin movie.
Step 2. Do a Green Lantern Origin movie.
Step 3. Do a few other DC heroes origin movies.
Step 4. ????
Step 4. Make a Justice League movie/Profit!

NO BRANDON MUST GO HE ONLY GOT THE ROLE BECAUSE HE LOOKS LIKE CHRIS REEVE THEY SHOULD GO WITH TOM WELLING WHO IS A BETTER ACTOR AND THEY ARE REBOOTING THIS FILM SERIES WHY WOULD THEY KEEP SOME THE SAME LEAD IF ITS A REBOOT DID MARVEL KEEP ERIC BANA FOR THE LATEST HULK REBOOT NO THEY GOT ED NORTON IT WOULD JUST BE STRANGE WATCHING THAT AND THAT WAS NOT BRYAN SINGERS VISION IT WAS RICHARD DONNER BRYAN COMPLETELY REHASHED THE 1978 CLASSIC SO WE NEED A REBOOT A FILM WITH NO CONNECTION TO THE OTHER FILMS ONE THAT STANDS ON ITS OWN TWO FEET LIKE WHAT CHRIS NOLAN DID WITH BATMAN BEGINS HE NEVER REHASHED WHAT TIM BURTON DID HE MADE IT HIS OWN AND THAT’S WHY HE GOT THE SEQUEL THE DARK NIGHT

Routh looks nothin like chris Reeve. He doesn’t fit the superman role at all. AT...ALL!!!!!!!!!! Superman Returns sucked on soooo many levels.

I liked the movie, it was remarkable and good, but, Smallville’s premier of Season 6’s Zod was better. I’m not pointing fingers at any one since every one involved did their best. And Brian Singer is a genius, The Usual Suspects really ignited a realm of imagination. But, this is what Superman Returns lacked, imagination. Doomsday, the movie not the monster, was so remarkable because it left a masterful impression: P.S. Rhona Mitra would make a perfect villain for Superman, if the need ever arose for a super powered villain.

As I was saying, Doomsday was a no holds barred slug fest with readily exposed gonads, and it felt no quandary about socking those spheres for all they were worth. Superman Returns was grand pa smoking his pipe doing a little jig. Good stuff, but ultimately forgettable.

I’m not as smart as most, but I know what I want, give me a camera and a few pennies and I’d find a solid way to tell a story, Mr Singer you’re infinitely better than I’ll ever be, forget the big budget and tell a nitty gritty story with blood guts an gore, if superman is a thesis of america, then remember, there is a war going on, a war against terror, damnit man, the skies the limit.

well said, i have to go with this guy!
Superman returns, was somewhat of a joke when you look at the past superman movies. He’s always had some EPIC fight and did we see that in Returns? NO. i’m not saying i didnt like the move i loved it, see the man of steel on the big screen ownz. but they could take a few pointers from the smallville crew. they realy seem to be hitting it out of the park with the superman lore and action. its what we as superman fans NEED.

DC has decided not to do a sequel to superman returns, so he might not return. Besides, the only other person that i could see playing superman would be tom welling, and he wont do it because he doesnt want to wear the costume.
