Sadly, our favorite film just lost one of the records it broke last summer. Last night, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" beat TDK for highest grossing midnight release. TDK made $18.5 million whereas HP made $22.2 million. HBP was a great movie, though.

I thought that might happen, but I don’t think it will beat it’s total in the end. I do enjoy the HP movie though, they are very well done.

Alfonso Cuarón directed the best Harry Potter film i wish wb would have ended the Harry Potter film series with Prisoner of Azkaban . that film had the best acting out of the 3 young stars , great story , editing , Alfonso Cuaron even out directed Chris Columbus , Mike Newell and David Yates

the only other film makers that might be able to match that are Guillermo Del Toro or
M. Night Shyamalan . both wanted to direct harry potter but WB did not want them bad enough of wait for them to be done with there respectful projects .



WB dropped the ball on this harry potter franchise years ago .

the only great actor in half blood prince was Tom Felton and that is sad . i am shocked this film made more then tdk midnight showing .

I hate Harry Potter. It is so gay. I would rather watch Twilight a million times in a row. It may have beat TDK for best midniight opening, but no way in hell it would make over 168 million in one weekend.

I did not mention Twilight for the heck of talking about it. I didn’t say I like Twilight either. I was just using it as an example to compare to Harry Potter to prove my point that it sucks. Twilight sucks, and Harry potter sucks much more (In my opinion) that I would rather watch Twilight, a movie that sucks also, but not as much as Harry Potter. But seriously, I can understand if Harry Potter was a grown man, but he’s not. What intelligent grown adult would want to watch a 13 year old with a magic wand? That shit is for little kids.
