My name is Jana and my partner’s name is Ashley. We attend Del Oro high School in Loomis, Ca. At Del Oro each student is required to complete a senior project that in one way or another benefits somebody else in order to graduate. For our senior project, Ashley and I have chosen to hand sew 100 school bags, fill them with any school supplies we can pull together, and send them to a needy school in Hopkins Village, Belize. The trouble is, we only have about a month to go before the deadline of our project and still are trying to come up with ways to cover the cost of shipping. We have been successful in getting air time on both the radio and a local news station as well as a small mention in a newspaper in our area. However, we only have been able to get about $250.00 to go towards the cost of shipping. We are beginning to run out of ideas of how to get all of our stuff down there, and were wondering if your organization could help us out in anyway. If you have any ideas or suggestions for us we would love to hear them. Thank you for your time.
