THANK~YOU FOR NOT SMOKING: A TRULY EVIL MOVIE -by Super Goddamnit

I hate cigarettes. I hate smokers. I think cigarettes are a disgusting product, and cigarette smokers are fulsome, fetid and vomitous beings. For instance, anyone who's ever smelled the convergence of coffee and cigarettes on the breath of an avid user of both can attest that 9 out of 10 people would rather suck a fart out of a corpse's ass than subject themselves again to that caliber of punishment.

But as for this new movie, "Thank You For Smoking"? This is an evil movie. I'll tell you why: this movie is an attempt at a cultural level to undermine your liberty to determine how you live your life and the activities you choose to be spending your life doing.

The pursuit of happiness is our constitutional right, and the things that make us happy are ours to define.

And so long as our pursuit of happiness doesn't oppress other people's rights to pursue in life the things that make them happy, then we have the right to live and die any damn way we want.

You see, I'm going to say something that's rather profound in direct regard to the issue this melodrama raises. And not only is it going to be contraversial, but it's going to be categorically factual...

...cigarettes DON'T kill people, and no one has ever been killed by cigarettes.

SMOKING kills people.

Because if cigarettes kill people, then silverwear makes people fat, guns walk out of drawers by themselves and and commit mass murder, rap music extorts people to become drug dealers and heavy metal turns people into drug users.

What this type of reasoning that free-market prohibitionists use in order to push their Leftist/Socialist agenda is something called sophisty. Basically, sophistry traditionally consists of subtle pervesions of language that more often then not are far too subtle to usually detect, but end up having dramatically different conclusions that, if you're not careful, can seem very commen sense.

Now to any of you who believe that it's morally wrong to force somebody to do something against their free will - as in forced sex (rape), forced labor (slavery), etc. - then by the same token, so not to be hypocritical, you must also concede that it's wrong to obstruct someone's right to spend their money any waythey see fit, and other people's right to sell their products to whoever wants them.

If you believe that your life is your property, and that neither the government nor a private interest company has the right to tell you how to live it, then you must also support a person's right to live and die as they see fight.

And if you believe people experiencing extreme suffering or misery have the right to spare themselves further pain and commit suicide (since their lives aren't ours to live), then you must also concede that people have the right to drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, get high on pot, etc. - since people have the right to choose how they wish to live and die.

Remember: in this movie, it's going to make little innuendos about how SOME people commit crimes to pay their mortgage, and therefore ALL people (even the law abiding ones), should lose their rights to own private property.

You're going to hear rhetoric that states that simply because SOME people commit crimes with guns, that ALL people (even the law abiding ones) should have their guns confiscated.

Remember: if you start treating your law abiding citizens like convicted criminals without any good reason, then there's no reason to NOT behave like a criminal.

Fight for your freedoms.

If you don't want to die of lung cancer, don't smoke cigarettes and refuse to associate with people who do. If you don't want to die of a drug overdose, don't shoot fucking heroin.

But DON'T FORCE YOUR WILL ON OTHERS.

Because once you start doing that, even if it's in the name of "the greater good," you have no reason to complain when some asshole decides to impose his will on you when he rapes and murders you in an alley.

"People who are willing to sacrifice a little liberty for a little security desearve neither, and will lose both." -Benjamin Franklin

"Liberty is a privelege that favors the responsible." -Thomas Jefferson

So to anyone who's reading this, if you want to protect your freedoms, simply repost this.

You'll be stunned how much of a profound impact MySpace has in our culture.

What about those who don't have a choice? The child of the smoker that has asthma and bronchitis and will develop lung cancer later because his or her parent smokes?

One problem.
When people smoke, they enforce THEIR choice on others.
As someone mentioned, the children of smokers. Or how about when I'm walking around in public smelling and inhaling second hand smoke?
Or, when, in Canada, someone gets lung cancer and my tax money goes to pay to help them fight off their choice instead of towards things that make out country better.
What about the choice of those who are addicted, want to stop, but can't? Mmm?

I knew someone who had athsma and their parents smoked. Not cool.
Think about that first.

i smoke
if someone doesnt wanna, there choice
im not blowing it in their face, so i'd appreciate it if all non-smokers would stop bitching and moaning
wear a fucking breathe mask if its so horrible to smell smoke
by telling someone that they shouldnt smoke because it hurts them, shut up you ass fuck twin, your telling them that because you dont like something they cant do it, which is bull-shit.
personally if i didnt smoke i'd fight instead, so im pretty happy with my way i chose to relax
and addiction aint that bad, personally i enjoy it :)

I have a problem with your "rant". You say that the movie is evil, probably because you assumed it was pro smoking. When, in fact, it is all extremely sarcastic. The whole point of this movie was to show the public what really goes on. To open the eyes of those who have their heads shoved too far up their ass to belive the truth.

Your rant was a little long too... To the point, damn it. Short and to the point. The majority of people that click on this topic, see the size of it and lunge for the back button.

Im against smoking.

Shut the fuck up assclowns. I'm so fucking sick of people whining about smoking. I love how I'll be sitting on a bench first, and 5 minutes later someone will walk up and sit down next to me and give me dirty looks for smoking. Look, your lungs are your fucking responsibility, not mine, if you don't fucking like it, get the hell away from me. And stop having smoking banned from bars, asshole. "Hi, I'm here to drink poison and have sex with random people. Could you put that out, I don't want cancer." Fucking melodramatic crybabies.
