lol i saw inside out west when it was on, and thought it was really funny...

i am still getting post with avon in the address... =..

i have a question, in inside out, several people claimed that avon was useful to include all of the towns/cities local to bristol without having to say "south gloucestershire and north somerset" or the suchlike... for example there was a nature park or trust or something? who called themselves avon for this reason... ?
but i ask... what is wrong with "west country" ?? i think that suits us just fine, and explains all, and it includes everyone in avon, doesnt it??

West Country would be fine by everyone here I think.

I like to tell people I live in CUBA. Counties That Used to be Avon. Whoever came up with that one deserves a medal.
