How about Mp3 and promo trading? I'm finding the hardest part of promoting is reaching people who are savvy enough to listen to podcasts!

If you are using a "post Production" software (Like Sony Acid or Mixcraft) then align your intros, fades, and outros, and save them under the name of your podcast. Then when it comes time to assemble a new podcast you open up this "Shell" and just put in the new content.

If you offer multiple ways to recieve your podcast it's a help to the less savvy of listeners. Also don't be afraid to offer bittorrent for those in the know. it will help your bandwidth.

i did an interview in a loud room that eneded up with too much background noise. i got a splitter ($5 at circuit city) for my italk (yes i do record interviews on my ipod because it travels in my purse so well) and purchased an extra headset for about 15 bucks. both headsets go into the splitter which goes into the italk and now i can interview someone in public but you'll only hear me and the interviewee most of the time. I'd really prefer a big mic that has a computer input jack but i only find mics with jacks for large mix boards. anyone know of a computer mic (besides the sony usb one) that has a small computer jack on it?

You can get an adapter at Radio Shack to convert the large jack to the small jack for about $4US. Be sure to take your mic with you... one of the sales people can help you determine which type you need, as some jack converters are made for headphones and are build for stereo to mono conversion and that wouldn't work for you.

What do people think of "Propogannda" as a podcasting software? It came up as number one on Amazon when I searched

Doing Interviews onsite.

I have my minirecorder and directional mic. It looked ok but not official. I looked on Ebay and found a clear Mic Flag, like they use on the news, for $30 I think. It works so well. You can just do a photo print and make your own design and put your show titles on it. Since we do 2 podcast it works great because we just have 2 inserts. Whichever show we are doing we use those. You would be surprissed of the difference it make with a Mic Flag, people come to you wanting on.

Just search Mic Flag on ebay is how I found it.
