Authors, looking for the readergirlz group forum thread to report your own participation in Operation TBD? You’ve found it!

If you are a published author dropping a copy of your book in your community on April 17th, 2008, and you hope to attend the TBD Post Op Party, leave your comment here.

We are psyched to have you celebrate Support Teen Literature Day with YALSA and rgz! With so many authors across the world participating at once with readers at the TBD Post Op Party, this will be an unprecedented event! We’ll have much to celebrate as ten thousand publisher-donated books are dropped in pediatric hospitals across the country. We’ll be cheering every readergirl, teacher, librarian, and author who releases a book into his/her community out of a love for YA lit.

Authors, click here for your downloadable TBD Author Bookplate.

Then tell us how:

Oh this is going to be fun! Where oh where shall I set my book free? Where oh where will it go from there? I wish I could put a little radio-collar on it to track its journey, the way scientists do with wildlife.
See you all at the Operation Post-Op party!

I want to release a copy of FIREBRAND and RECRUIT somewhere in the Indianapolis area. Just not sure where. I could use some suggestions from girlz who live around here. If you have suggestions, drop me a private message!

Thanks and keep reading!

What a great idea!

I’m rockin’ the drop with "Star-Crossed" in Denver on April 17th! Denver teens, leave me a message on mySpace with your suggestions. I have already given a copy to the Eating Disorders Unit at Childrens Hospital, but that was before I heard about Operation TBD! YMCA? Dag Boz? Fluid Bar?

Sorry about the dyslexic spelling! My kingdom for a personal copy editor. I’d like a literate, coffee-drinking parrot who sits on my shoulder...

I’ll totally be rocking the drop! I’ll be donating copies of my two most recent books, In Their Shoes: Extraordinary Women Describe Their Amazing Careers and my new book Chill: Stress-Reducing Techniques for a More Balanced, Peaceful You.

Love this idea, and I’m so psyched to be a part of it!

XOXO Debbie
